Deep in the mountains north of the Steppe, one eventually stumbles upon the deep woods. There, the denizens enjoy a life free of influence from the outside world. However, not all of these denizens are... natural.Where there is untouched pockets of the world, there is the Void. And in these parts, there is the Ubir. Baidal is a huntress of demons and walkers in the shadows, and feasts upon her hunts like all members of her tribe.A soft and reserved demeanour thinly masks an unfathomable depth of stygian rage. The void has poisoned her soul, the demons speak in her mind, and those with the misfortune to face the abyss within her have but one choice:Abandon all hope.

Beware the Whispers in the Woods
Othardian legends tell of the things that stalk the woods beyond the mountains north of the Steppe. Some use these stories to scare young children out of exploring the woods at night.

Those who are attuned to matters of the void, particularly other void hunters, might find themselves oddly aware of Baldai's tainted soul. Aside from her bizarre appearance, she's not unlike any other Xaela. So... why does the void cling to her so?Concerning the Dalamiq
The Ubir and the Dalamiq have a long-standing rivalry that frequently results in bloody clashes. If your character is of the Dalamiq, they may be able to identify Baldai as Ubir by her discoloured scales and facial markings... for better or for worse.
